European Air Ambulance and Industry News

Luxembourg, 29 January 2010 - As one of Europe’s largest specialised aeromedical service providers, offering worldwide emergency repatriation 24/7/365, European Air Ambulance (EAA) has clients across the globe and a network of international co-operation agreements.

But always looking to expand their reach and enhance the services on offer, a team from EAA last week headed to Dubai for one of the largest medical trade fairs in the world.

Arab Health Luxembourg Stand

The Arab Health event attracts visitors from across the Middle East as well as from Europe, the US, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Asia and South East Asia. More than 55,000 healthcare and trade professionals visited the Dubai World Trade Centre over the course of the week, with more than 4,000 companies from over 60 countries exhibiting products and services.

European Air Ambulance Director Sales and Marketing, Patrick Schomaker – who also attended Arab Health two years ago – met a number of existing and potential clients, keen to team up with EAA.

He said: “This is a really important event for us, as it gives us the chance to connect with medical service providers, clinicians and manufacturers from across the world, all under one roof.

We know from experience that this conference can bring us great new business and collaborative opportunities – and that certainly looks to be the case this year.

I had really productive meetings with representatives of hospitals, medical centres, and health service companies, both local to Dubai and international – and look forward to working with a number of them in future.”

EAA’s visit this year came as part of an official trade mission to Dubai organised by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

The trade delegation, run in co-operation with the Ministry of the Economy, the Luxembourg Embassy and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office, and led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, also included a Luxembourg-Dubai Business Forum, meetings with local companies, an official reception, workshops and seminars.

Schomaker added: “It was a very productive trip, which I’m sure will prove to be hugely worthwhile – not just for EAA, but also for all the other Luxembourg businesses that joined the delegation.”
